Oh my G-O-S-H, my first ever EP JANE DOE has finally been released!!!
My team and I have worked so hard on this and it just feels so good to finally be able to share it with y’all. And because I like telling stories, here is a little background on the inspiration for the album. I wanted to create something that was true to what you could expect from me - unpredictability. The EP features 5 songs, all of which span from rock to country to some R&B/trap...about as enigmatic as me! As an advocate for standing up for what you believe in and sharing your views of life with the world, JANE DOE is filled with tons of things I am passionate for or wish to relate to you. It is an expression of things I have seen and experienced - both good and bad - that I hope you’ll take with you and fit yourself right into the story.
That being said, perhaps the underlying message is that regardless of what you’re going through YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
I hear you. I see you. We are all the same at the very core of ourselves, experiencing the same things with different points of view. No matter how you see yourself or what you’re going through, we’ve all been there in some form or fashion, which means we can lean on each other. Some days are up, some are a bust…but we are never immune to them as our lives are constantly changing. If you feel alone, or that you just don’t “fit in” ( guilty as charged), know that I love you, even if I don’t know you. And that’s why I love music so much - it’s the one medium where we can speak to each other without ever meeting. It truly is the universal language.
Please allow JANE DOE to be my message from me to you, a reminder that you matter and I am right here with you. Perhaps it’ll help you see a perspective you haven’t considered or be inspired to take a risk to enrich your life. Let the music be the variable that changes your life. The connection between us all might just be deeper than we realize.
